New Life Midwifery hosts quarterly information seminars for families looking to learn about homebirth. Parents may also bring along other family and friends, especially anyone who is questioning the the validity of homebirth. These sessions are great for expectant families, but are also open to everyone, inclduing those who have general interest, but aren't currently pregnant. We will answer common questions such as:
- Isn't the hospital safer?
- Who can have homebirths?
- What if I had a prior complicated pregnancy or birth?
- What if I've had a cesarean?
- How does the level of care differ?
- What does it cost; Will insurance cover it?
- Why do families choose it?
- What if I want relief from birthing discomforts?
- Won't my house be a mess?
- What do I do about germs in my house?
- What if something goes wrong?
- What will my family/friends think?
- What type of training do midwives get?
- What are my options?
